Cold Storage Data

From at least three different sources in the past ten days, I have heard there is no cheese to be had.

Apparently, all the cheese in inventory is either committed or aging.

Speaking with a friend this morning, he suggested the "Cold Storage" report would be much more useful if the report included data on committed and aging cheese inventories.

This seems like an excellent idea with only a slight change in forms required.
The entire dairy industry would probably welcome the improved data quality.

  1. This is what I have been figuring too. The only reason there is'nt a glut sold on the CME lately is there is no fresh for sale. When those fresh whatever contracts are filled watch out. Your suggestion above is an excellent one but they won't do it.

  2. Actually John only the producers would like better reporting. The rest of the industry seems to be doing just fine this way!

  4. Don't read cold storage reports... They're irrelevant if fresh cheese isn't reported.

HIT SEND AND REPORT CASH PRICES DAILY

Announced price is the 30day average.

    Thats easy. Get it done.

  5. A daily reporting lie is a weekly reporting lie x7.

Read today's dairy market news release between the lines----they are doing everything they can to leave the impression that production is still increasing but all their info says otherwise.

  6. Only reason I can think of to push the increased production lies is to cover up the amount of non-milk being used in production of products.
