Dennis Wolff is the former Pennsylvania commissioner of agriculture. Presently, he is a lobbyist and partner of Versant Strategies. http://www.versantstrategies.net/about/
Versant states:
“Versant” means "having good knowledge of,” and no word could better suit Pennsylvania’s premier public affairs firm specializing in agricultural and rural issues. Versant knows that today’s public policy questions are no longer cut-and-dried, but instead are interconnected and complex.
Versant's lists its clients, which includes "Dairy Policy Action Committee" DPAC.

A number of people have had faith in DPAC but...another client not listed on Versant's site is International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) the dairy processor's organization.
However, the Open Secrets site reveals the truth:

The real question is "having good knowledge of,” what? This is not a case of full transparency. Too bad.
And good honest people gave hard earned money. Will the people of the community be represented? The game in DC has many victims, it's sick to think it's in our towns our homes and our barns. Some people are shameless!
ReplyDeleteI am from pennsylvania and the legacy of dennis wolfe as pa secretary of ag was that crop insurance would save us all. seriously, that is all i remember about the man.
ReplyDeleteWill DPAC refund the wasted money to all the dairy farmers who donated hard earned money? Why didn't the president of DPAC, Dan Brandt, investigate this?
ReplyDeleteIn the world of lobbying there are no scruples! Take the money from whoever gives. It pays the bills.
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong??? DPAC is still doing some great things.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dennis.
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong? The farmers big and small Amish and English had hope. They believed the system would allow them to be heard. Someone with superior power bought their voice and the Wolfe's soul.
ReplyDeleteDennis Wolf was Monsanto's biggest voice during the Posilac fiasco....wonder if/how much money was passed under the table for his support?
ReplyDeleteDo you think NMPF's plan is great...both DPAC and IDFA are fighting it. isn't that good?
ReplyDeleteNMPF's plan stinks. It only helps the mega farms that don't grow their own feed. It decouples production from the major cost of prodution(feed) Look for huge supluses of milk if put in despite it's supply management part. IDFA doesn't like it cause it contains the supply management section.
