MPC Imports Soar

Well now, just when you think it could not happen - it happens. With a weak U.S. dollar who would have thought MPCs would come pouring in?

As can be seen on the above graph, August 2009 have set a record MPC import level for the month of August as far back as you care to go.

We'll just have to wait to see how the experts interpret the data.

  2. It seems to me that the processors are importing ANYTHING they can get their hands on in order to stop or limit the increase in farm gate milk price.

If they succeed and keeping the price no higher than $18/cwt, this upturn may be VERY short as most farmers will be forced to make all the milk they possibly can to try and recoup this year's losses.

  3. If the farmers are dumb enough to do that this time they better sell out now. I am sick and tired of being told MAKE MORE MILK GET MORE EFFICIENT. WHY! They want us to be their slaves. Feed the nation off our backs. Wake up Farmers less is more.

  4. I'm angry at companies like Kraft that are putting profits over people. I'm reading labels more than ever now, and I refuse to buy anything made with milk protein concentrate. Why isn't the FDA enforcing regulations? MPCs are meant for glue production and should not be in our food supply!
